Marvel Studios and Disney+ have the new logo for Agatha: Darkhold Diaries to display the new title of the WandaVision turnoff.
The show, starring Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness, will premiere in fall 2024. Originally announced as Agatha: House of HarknessThe show would later be renamed in July 2022 Agatha: Circle of Chaos. In September of this year, Disney announced the series’ current title, with the logo removed this week like previous iterations.
A brief description of the first episode of Agatha: Darkhold Diaries is made available through the US Copyright Office Public Records System.
“In the first episode, we see how Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) finally escapes a spell that has trapped her,” reads the description. “She can’t wait to get back to her old murderous ways, but is powerless.” The only way out for her is to embark on a dangerous quest to regain her powers with the help of some unlikely friends.
The listing shows Jac Schaeffer as director and also lists some of the cast including Hahn, Aubrey Plaza as Rio, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone as Lilia, Sasheer Zamata as Jen K and Ali Ahn as Alice.
Other cast members include Emma Caulfield Ford, Maria Dizzia, Miles Gutierrez-Riley and Okwui Okpokwasili.
While he appeared on The view Earlier this year, LuPone teased a bit about the story and the character she plays.
“It’s a coven and I play Lilia Calderu, who apparently lives in the Marvel world. I looked at her, she’s hot, she’s really hot, she’s got a great body and great hair,” LuPone said. “I didn’t know witches existed, I didn’t know anything about the Marvel world. There are witches in the Marvel world. So we are a coven and the witches are: Kathryn Hahn, Aubrey Plaza and [a] Known – if anyone knows Cardiac arrest – is Joe Locke.”
