How did you approach this second edition after the success of the first?
Little Smile: I wanted to continue to support the Queens by giving them the best advice. We’re trying to be a kind of guardian angel. The idea is to really help them advance in their art. Drag is nothing like a clown, it’s hard work, discipline and rigor.
How would you describe your two friends on the jury, Nicky Doll and Daphné Bürki?
Nicky Doll is truly the lady of ceremonies, with a “big sister” side that finds the words to comfort queens. She is always extremely helpful and protective. Daphne is a bit of a joker and our fashion expert. She isn’t afraid to say what’s wrong, but she’s an ally on and off screen.
Could you see the size of the Drag Race phenomenon in your daily life?
Oh yes, people talk a lot about it. In season 1, after Lolita Banana was eliminated, I was slapped by someone asking for clarification in the toilet paper section of a supermarket. (Laughs) We receive a lot of love and compliments from all walks of life. This program is family friendly, allowing people to discuss among themselves topics they may not have mentioned.
Drag Race France is at 23:40 on Friday 14 July at France 2
