Jalil Lespert mourns: Laeticia Hallyday’s friend lost her comedian father, Jean Lespert

According to the information obtained by Paris Match, Jalil Lespert’s father and actor Jean Lespert died on June 26, 2023 at the age of 81.

Comedian Jean Lespert died on June 26 at the age of 81. He leaves his wife Ferida Azi, a lawyer in the Paris office, and his two sons Yaniss and Celil.

It was he who gave the greatest taste of comedy to Jalil Lespert. He also trained her in the cast of Beach Games with him in 1995.

Since then, Jalil Lespert has become a prominent actor and director in France, jovially progressing in the middle of the 7th art.

Jalil Lespert, who has been in a relationship with Laeticia Hallyday for several years after dating former Miss France Sonia Rolland, described her relationship with her father in Gala’s columns in 2011: “Career was more of a passion than thinking. I spent my first casting helping my father because the director was looking for a father-son duo… So in the beginning it was just a matter of luck.”

Passionately devoted to his profession, Jean Lespert will have played to the end. In 2021 it was indeed featured on the poster of Albert Camus’ play “La Chute” directed by Vincent Auvet.

Yaniss, the youngest in the family, chose to follow in the footsteps of his father and older brother as an actor. In 2012, he explained in JDD’s columns that they were “very family.” “Our families have returned to Paris to be closer to us. We live ten minutes apart,” he admitted at the time.

Jean Lespert’s cause of death was not disclosed, but in Le Monde’s obituary, the actor’s relatives called for donations to the Rothschild Foundation, which fights sarcoidosis, an immune system disorder. The funeral of the player was buried this Tuesday, July 4, 2023.
