The favorite actor of the French really decided to quit the cinema. Line Renaud began her film career in 1946 with Pierre Chenal’s La Foire aux chimères, which was watched more than 2.3 million times in France.

But rest assured for your fans, Line Renaud will finally appear in a movie directed by her friend Dominique Besnehard. It gives confidence: “Maybe I’ll make another movie with Dominique Besnehard. It will be a story about magazines, it will be called Cha, c’est Paris and I will play my part”.
If 95-year-old Line Renaud is in good shape, she was about to die when she suffered a stroke four years ago. It was his dog Pirate who saved his life. “The Pirate saved me. He sleeps with me on the bed. He’s a King Charles and in the morning, when my employee comes to open the bedroom door, he just walks out,” she says. But that morning the Pirate didn’t even move an ear. “That’s how he discovered me and I was able to tell him ‘quickly call Samu, I think I’m having a stroke’. My dog stayed on the bed to let him in.”
He came back to this painful period of his life and explains: “The rehab wasn’t done well, so my right hand didn’t quite come back. I can’t write with my right hand anymore, I don’t write anymore because I’m not left-handed”.
