French favorite village 2023: a village named big winner in Hauts-de-France (VIDEO)

Located in the Hauts-de-France region, Esquelbecq has earned the coveted title of “French’s Favorite Village 2023”. The announcement was made by Stéphane Bern during the program broadcast on France 3 on Friday evening. Thus Esquelbecq replaced the village of Bergheim (Haut-Rhin).

The French discovered a real nugget in the 12th edition of the French Favorite Village, a program that aired on France 3 on Friday, June 30. Coveted title in front of the town of Lavoûte-Chilhac in Haute-Loire. Thus, he became the successor to Bergheim (Haut-Rhin), crowned as the biggest winner of 2022.

Throughout the program, the audience had the opportunity to explore 14 charming small towns, traveling through France and overseas with presenter Stéphane Bern.

All these attractive villages were carefully evaluated by Stéphane Bern, who studied their cultural, architectural and natural heritage. After examining every detail, the expert announced the final decision based on the votes cast by the French people online and by phone at 23:59 from February 20 to March 10.

Happy, Didier Roussel, the mayor of the village, praised the tremendous work the municipal teams are doing to promote Esquelbecq. Stephane Bern promised: “Extraordinary enthusiasm came from a team of elected officials, municipal workers, associations and I am really happy with this result because they really deserve it. It is a reflection of a winning region. We know how to overcome the challenges in our region and thank you for bringing it to us”.
