Don’t forget the words (France 2): "I’m screwed like a bruise"Eliminated, Laure explains

After a month of participation in France 2, Laure said goodbye to the set of “N’oublie pas les mots” on Monday, January 26. The champion agreed to convey his feelings to us after his defeat.

How long have you been preparing for the show?

I was already on the show in 2018 and when I lost I decided to stop revisions for a year or even a year and a half. At the time, when you won the silver mic, you had to wait four years before you could re-roll. For my part, that’s why it was authorized from 2022 and I had to continue with revisions a year and a half before returning to the set. In total, I learned 660 songs!

How was your rhythm during the game?

It was not possible to do it again between performances (laughs). Still, I sometimes had a little more time between shooting days, but I didn’t learn any more songs from the 660s I already knew. I had to add a maximum of 15 because we try to really focus on what we already know.

You had a busy month of participation. don’t forget the lyrics. What do you remember from this adventure?

I remember many things, but mostly positive. What impressed me the most was the very, very emotional, first show where I got my first win. I don’t forget all the people who were there during the show, everyone was very helpful and very kind, there was always a word of encouragement for you and that wasn’t bad for me anyway (laughs)!

You finish 30th in the best Maestros ranking, what was your aim when you entered the game?

Is it my purpose? It was not to lose from the first show (laughs)! When this show ended, I wanted to win 20,000 Euros at least once in one go. At that time, my biggest goal at the shows was really to win 100,000 Euros.

What exactly are you going to do with your 162.000 Euro earnings?

I’m thinking of investing in real estate near Lyon and also want to buy a piano. I play as good as the guitar.

How did you experience elimination?

The last day of filming was complicated because I came across a selection of songs that I did not know and it was shown in the last shows… I said to myself every time, ‘Wow, ricrac’. It was difficult and after a while I started to scare myself and lose my confidence. The song I lost was simple because Midnight Demons. I’m ruined like a bruise…

What did you miss?

I’m really sorry for failing this song. At the time, I didn’t even understand how I could lose it. I used to listen to this song on the radio and I think it was cut from the original version and that’s what I missed. I kept focusing on what I was really hearing…

How do you experience your new media coverage?

Some viewers found me on social networks, and it is true that at first it made me very funny. Most people are pretty nice and helpful so it’s okay for me. I also often looked at what people were saying about me on networks and found that most of the messages were positive. It was obvious that there were a few people who wrote negative reviews, but this was really a minority.

you entered mastersCan’t wait to join?

I can’t wait because I really want to go back (laughs)! It gives me the impression that I have a second little chance to play again and it will definitely be my last. I don’t think I’ll be in the standings for long… Next year, I’m sure I won’t be there anymore, so I was a little disappointed to tell myself I wasn’t. I’ve gone further, but I’m also happy to tell myself that I can do it at least once. And I intend to take full advantage of it (laughs)!
