What will viewers discover in this BB documentary?
Mireille Dumas: Brigitte Bardot, spontaneous, fun and sparkling, who tells her story in a wonderful interview.It was made about ten years ago in La Madrague for the program Vie Privée, vie publique, ndlr.). We discover a Bardot who embodies lightness, beauty and joy of life, as well as a woman who has experienced moments of great despair and is still alive. He answers questions about acting, star status, as well as old age and his struggles for animals. I also went to draw from archives, footage, and many movie excerpts that we rarely saw.
What stood out for you about him?
He’s always wanted to escape the shackles, family, couple and movie theater. He always wished to be free while continuing this dependence on someone’s affection and protection.
Has Brigitte Bardot watched the documentary?
He gave me his consent, but he’ll find out with the audience tonight. During the interview, he thanked me for insisting on doing this. “It will leave a beautiful memory,” he told me.
