Former actor of the series “A shock sequence”, 56 announced their divorce on Saturday after 17 years of marriage and five children together.
“After 18 years together and 5 wonderful kids, @torispelling and I have decided with great sadness and very, very saddening to go our separate ways and embark on a new journey of our own.” wrote in a post on Instagram since it was deleted.
“As loving parents, we will continue to work together and guide and love our children through this difficult time.”added.
“We ask you all to respect our privacy as we take this time and get through this ordeal to surround our family with love. Thank you all for your support and kindness.”
Dean McDermott and Tori Spelling, 50, are the proud parents of Liam (16), Finn (10) and Beau (6) and daughters Stella (15) and Hattie (11).
The former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star and Canadian actor has repeatedly denied rumors about his marital problems.
As a matter of fact, the separation rumors started when Tori Spelling, the daughter of famous producer Aaron Spelling, was photographed without a wedding ring in March 2021.
In September 2021, Dean McDermott spoke about rumors of a disagreement between them.
“It’s so weird that people need to know,” he said during a podcast. “What’s going on with Tori and Dean? She’s not wearing her ring. Why do you need to know that? How will this affect your day?”
The couple met while filming the TV movie “Mind Over Murder” in Ottawa, Canada, in 2005, and they both married other people.
Less than a month after Tori Spelling filed for divorce from Charlie Shanian, she and Dean McDermott were married in a private ceremony in Fiji in May 2006.
However, in late 2013, the actor admitted that he copied Spelling, which formed the basis for the 2014 Lifetime documentary series “True Tori.”
