Kev Adams “had no idea” who was hiding under his costume. Successful bet?
yes yes it crossed his mind that the voice he heard sounded like mine, but he couldn’t imagine that I would agree to do this, that I was in TF1, or even agree to a disguise! That’s exactly what amused me, that even with that recognizable voice, doubt could still be resolved. How come you think I’m here, I’m not used to it, I’m on another channel… That was the goal, some people immediately eliminate the possibility of it being me for these reasons.
Did you try to cover the tracks so we wouldn’t recognize your voice?
Still, I think my voice was recognizable. If I had stayed a few weeks, I think we would have tried to camouflage it more. That wasn’t the point there. It took only 5 minutes at the start of the program and I immediately joined the researchers. Especially since clues about my identity have surfaced, such as Michèle Bernier’s message and the INA archive.
How did you do all this protocol to hide your identity? Mask Singer ?
Unless you’re a really big star and have to hide in the street, it’s very rare that you have to hide like that. It was an original look, but luckily it lasts for a short while. I agree that it’s easier to do this on a single show and continue as a researcher after being unmasked – and so I agreed. I could see all the challenges you might face if you stay in the competition for a few weeks.
So you wouldn’t agree to stay in the Cherif Lobster costume anymore?
No, absolutely not! (laughs)
You haven’t dressed for TV in 30 years because you dressed too much next to Jacques Martin. So do, do, do… In Antenna 2 in 1990, editor’s note)…
Definitely. what amused me Mask Singerwas to trap my comrades on the jury and then become a researcher with them.
Did you have more fun as a researcher on the show?
Yes, of course! That’s what interested me, I like research, puzzles… But it’s harder to do just by attending a show. Due to secrecy, we don’t know what happened on previous shows, so I fell a little behind the rest of the judges.
If you weren’t in France 2, would you try being a researcher for a season?
As long as we’re free, of course, we can do lots of fun things. But the question does not arise, I am in France 2 and Club Premiere. It was really punctual to replace Michèle Bernier, who disappeared because she played in my game that day. There are so many reasons that have accumulated and there is no strategy there.
How did your friends react when they saw you sing about Michel Fugain dressed as Lobster Chérif?
Many found it amusing, cheeky, and unexpected. This was my wish. They… “congratulated” me, that’s not the right word, but they said I did a good job. (laughs)
It was such a festive picture, did it make you want to keep trying new experiences?
In fact, I announced that there would be a period when I would try to do new things again. That’s the purpose in life, or you’ll get bored. You still have to find the right ideas.
As a researcher during the program, you referred to many political figures. Which ones do you think can wear next season?
Oh la la, there are lots of them because I’m not sure they’ve been offered so far. But I see, for example, that Ségolène Royal does it very well. Arnaud Montebourg and why not Roselyne (Bachelot, editor’s note). The difficulty is that you still have to be available for a few weeks, which is restrictive. You should have a slightly freer agenda, which is why I mentioned these political figures! (laughs)
What costumes would you like to see them in?
There’s plenty to choose from, but it’s not a particularly humiliating costume. I’m not totally anti-political, you know. I’m not one to spit all over politics. I think they are doing a job that is getting harder and harder.
Do you know if you’ll be back in control of a new season in France 2 at the start of the next school year? television kids ?
At first, yes!
After that I prefer that we stay togetherAre you working on another game?
Yes, I have two or three items in the drawers, but I’ve been spoiled enough in recent years. Our room is Stéphane Plaza, which is now in Bouffes-Parisiens. a magical couple, Michèle Bernier on tour. I’ll give them some time before I come back in six months or a year.
