your participation don’t forget the lyrics It ended in January 2019, what has changed for you since then?
Thanks to the earnings of the show, we were able to enjoy a little more comfortably. The first thing we did was buy a second home because we already had one before the show. And so it was an opportunity to rent. We wanted a house with a big garden for the little one and we were able to do it thanks to the show. Also, recently, we were able to load it thanks to additional earnings. mastersphotovoltaic panels for the home because we wanted greener energy.
Big number 5 of the program, has this experience opened new doors for you? Opportunities given?
Not because I really have no plans to change jobs. I really like my job as a teacher, I’m very happy with it, and we’re basically very, very simple people, so we didn’t try to go towards something other than what we’re doing now.
how did you approach this Tournament ?
Very calmly because we know we play as a team with our friends but also because it was one of the only trophies I missed, I approached it seriously so I really wanted to win but not really. for an association. It was even more important to me than playing for yourself.
And how did things go with your team?
We were much more relaxed, we could lean on each other. The main thing was really to raise money for the association. I’ve already played with Savoyard Manon and we’ll say he followed me a bit (laughs). Last year we attended Tournament. He’s a lovely Maestro! And Jérémy, I already knew him well. Masters League And masters especially. I get along well with everyone and I like them all, so I didn’t have a particular preference, but it’s true that our team is very good. We really had no trouble dividing the matches we would attend. Everyone could play any game they wanted and I liked that everyone felt comfortable.
How does it feel to reach the final?
Of course it’s fun! It was a bit more important than the fact that you had already won 100,000 Euros for an association fighting against pedophilia, like when you won 20,000 Euros for yourself on the show, especially since I live in the area where I live… So I was very impressed… So earning that money for an association like this it was amazing.
So your participation dates back to 2019, how do you keep revising?
I always try to revise a little bit every day during the year. I admit that I’ve been doing a little less lately because I had a pretty busy schedule as we were subject to inspection at school, but other than that, I try to stay organized. I listen a lot in the car and try to make small playlists of about 10 songs a week. I listen to them really freely so I don’t have too many learning difficulties. The show is still very entertaining for me. as we approach deadlines such as TournamentI try to review the great classics so I don’t forget anything. When you see new Maestros like Louis, Charlotte, or even Manon, you can feel that they are particularly well prepared for the test of the same song, and it’s very impressive. And now that I’m one of the ‘oldies’, or rather ‘regulars’ (laughs), it forces us to be vigilant to be competitive. I always try to be as involved with it as possible so I can keep up with it.
Are there any candidates you fear?
It’s all very scary because the fact that we’re among the 32 greatest Maestros means we now know it’s not much to play. All very strong and all strong in their own way. Of course, there are some we know better than others, but they’re just as impressive. Really proud to be a part of this group! I also like to shed light on others, but I continue to challenge myself, I find it fun to challenge myself with songs. Not for the best, but for the pure pleasure of music indeed!
See you for the grand finale in France 2 on Friday, April 28 at 21:10!
