successor Star Brian Cox is in the unscripted James Bond-inspired competition show 007’s way to a million for Prime Video.
According to Amazon, he will appear as “The Controller,” an “enigmatic character who determines the fate of the contestants” while lurking in the shadows. Billed as “rogue and sophisticated,” he enjoys “the increasingly challenging journeys and questions contestants must overcome.”
Filmed in many iconic Bond locations, from the Scottish Highlands to Venice and Jamaica. 007’s way to a million will see contestants in teams of two tested on intelligence, endurance and heroism to win £1 million ($1.2 million). You must also correctly answer the hidden questions in the different locations around the world to move on to the next challenge.
The fourth season of successor is currently on HBO, with Cox reprising his role as tyrannical media mogul and disaffected father Logan Roy in Jesse Armstrong’s Critical Darling.
“I had to see how normal people would handle a James Bond adventure,” Cox said. “Things get more intense and exciting as they travel around the world to some of the most iconic Bond locations. I enjoyed my role as villain and tormentor, with permission to put the hopeful candidates to the test.
007’s way to a million is a collaboration between Amazon Studios, EON Productions, 72 Films and MGM Alternative. It will be released worldwide exclusively on Prime Video later this year.
