Kelly Ripa is about to get a new co-host for her daytime talk show, and it’s her husband Mark Consuelos.
When Ripa arrived Watch what’s happening liveHost Andy Cohen read a question from a fan expressing her thoughts GMA3 romance scandal between TJ Holmes and Amy Robach.
“Mark and I have taken a vow of chastity as we will be working together,” she said looking directly into the camera.
Ripa added, “I know ABC doesn’t like … TV partners standing aside. So, we promise, no trouble for us.
In January of that year, ABC decided not to continue working with Robach and Holmes, who were hosting GMA3. News of their departure came after the duo were kicked out of the show after it was revealed that they had been romantically involved while still married to their respective spouses.
Since Ripa is in a romantic relationship with her future Morning co-host, many viewers found the decision to split from Robach and Holmes confusing.
It was in February of this year that Ryan Seacrest announced his departure Lives with Kelly and Ryan after six seasons with Consuelos taking his place from Monday 17 April.
“Working with Kelly for the past six years has been a dream job and one of the highlights of my career. “She was a wonderful partner, friend and confidant, and while we will always be a part of each other’s lives, I will miss our mornings together,” Seacrest said in announcing his departure.
