Sex/Life was canceled by Netflix after two seasons

The end of Netflix has arrived sexuality/life. The streamer is making no progress on a third season of the drama series starring Sarah Shahi, Margaret Odette, Mike Vogel and Adam Demos, Deadline has confirmed.

According to a Netflix spokesperson, the second season brought the series to a natural conclusion, closing the storyline for the main characters whose relationships were coming to fruition. The streamer is proud of the show and the work of the producers. Actors and film crew.

Created by Stacy Rukeyser, sex/life—inspired by the book 44 chapters about 4 men by BB Easto – tells the story of a love triangle between a woman, her husband and her past, offering a provocative new take on female identity and desire.

Rukeyser served as showrunner, creator, executive producer and writer. Academy Award-winning producer J. Miles Dale and Jordan Hawley also serve as executive producers.

There has been speculation for some time that Season 2, which was released by Netflix last month, would be the last.

Series star Shahi was recently announced as the lead ABC pilot Judge, from earlier Charmed Showrunner Joey Falco and 20th Television. As we previously reported, Shahi has been in talks for the project since January as ABC and the makers have worked through her commitment sexuality/life. She could have re-evaluated her role sexuality/lifee if the show is extended, subject to availability as it is first in line Judge.

Shahi faced her struggles with the show’s second season on the Not thin, but not fat podcast earlier this month. “I definitely didn’t have the support I had in the first season,” Shahi said. “I won’t say that [the show] off, but I definitely didn’t have the support I got in the first season from the people involved in the show,” Shahi said. She also predicted that she would “never work for Netflix after saying all that.”

We hear Rukeyser is working with Netflix on a new project.
