The life of 300 candidates is an excuse for a great game where the winner is bet €2,000 per month for ten years. To help them, the animators, very accomplices, soak the shirt in the form of a hostage.

What is the origin of this program?

Nagui : We searched together with Bruno what kind of program we wanted to make in 2023, and we asked ourselves what kind of program is missing on the screens today. We came into your life with games created as ex nihilo: 300 candidates gather in a set in a crazy atmosphere and answer both general culture questions and very simple questions such as what is your name or what is your date of birth. The ultimate goal is to earn 2,000 Euros per month for ten years. You have to play to “make a living”, hence the name of the show: Your life in the games. Everything happens voluntarily in a childish carnival universe. Playing in pairs with a candidate, Bruno and I sometimes have to throw ourselves in a doorway just to confirm an answer. If the door opens, the answer is correct. Otherwise, this is bad.

It’s basically a mix of Burger Quiz and Koh-Lanta for animators, right?

Bruno Guillon: The difference is that unlike Koh-Lanta, neither Nagui nor I have an immunity totem when we are asked to wet the shirt. I love this reference to Burger Quiz, which is an offbeat show, doesn’t take itself too seriously, and its goal is to laugh with it, not the island. For one thing, our game is in this mood.

Nagui : I point out, we are not nonsense like Kamoulox (Parody game with approximate or crazy answers, created and presented in the 90s by Kad and Olivier, editor’s note). For example, “What is the capital of France?” » and a candidate answering « Neuilly-sur-Seine » jokingly about the fact that the former mayor is President, obviously that would not be a valid answer. We are in public service again with the general culture information given on the set. I conclude by returning to my example: if the candidate does not know the capital of France, the facilitator who pairs with him will receive a cream cake. I remind you that the candidate’s interest is to win, rather than to see us or myself or Bruno commit.

How will the evening unfold?

Bruno: 300 participants are in the audience. Upstream went through a lot of work to find out what their passions and hobbies were during the casting, to organize events that could be fun on set and put Nagui and me in mismatched situations. It won’t be sad, believe us!

Your life in Games will be on Saturday, April 1 at 21:10 in France 2
