Melanie Laurent: And it’s a real frustration because I laugh a lot in life! Shooting with Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler was very instructive because they improvise all the time.
Your character’s name is Claudette. Aren’t you afraid of the cliché avalanche about the French?
But it is full of such movies! Mark Strong plays the secret agent, the perfect Englishman, Jennifer and Adam play this not-so-chic American couple… We’re having fun. I really liked this sensitive and somewhat naive character of Claudette. I hate bad roles. I’m not a brave actor at all, I have to love my characters.
You work on many projects here and in the United States. Which one are you most interested in right now?
It’s a little early to talk about this… But it’s true that I was incredibly lucky, had fun, and was free. And since I was offered several comic book roles, I wrote one myself!
