Benjamin is leaving Koh-Lanta! : "I know I will criticize a lot."

Surprise in the Philippines! Exhausted, young Marseille decided to put an end to her adventure. Statements from the person concerned…

You and your ally Tania are the youngest candidates of this issue. Was it difficult to find your place among other former candidates?

Benjamin: No, even if it’s not visible on the screen, I personally integrated it very well. I think Tania had more difficulties because the Yellows didn’t take care of her from the very beginning.

In episode 3, the early morning embrace between the two of you caught the attention of the audience… Was this the beginning of a rapprochement?

Not possible! The humidity and cold at night is terrible. Human warmth was the only way we found to stay warm and sleep for a few hours. Also, we weren’t the only ones sleeping stuck together like this.

How did you experience the breakup with Tania and then the elimination during the teams restructuring process last week?

I was very disappointed that she went to the Red tribe, but I thought it was helpful because Tania was still in the hot seat with the Yellows. I was shocked when I learned that She was eliminated. I expected She to stay longer and hoped to find her during the reunion.

Why did you decide to end your adventure?

A series of factors made me crack: lack of food, rainy and cold nights, hunger… I felt a complete physical weakness. I no longer had the resources or energy to give. The blow was an ear infection, along with the pain and the fact that I could no longer spearfish. Physically, I couldn’t move forward anymore, this adventure was much more difficult than I thought.

How do you see the reaction of the public and your close circle after this abandonment?

I know that I will be widely criticized on social networks, but the opinions of internet users do not impress me much. On the other hand, I live in Marseille and I feel like I will be ridiculed in every way, whether it’s at work, friends or family… it’s going to be awful! (laughs). I had already considered all of this before making my decision, but unfortunately I couldn’t stand it any longer right now. We should get it now.

Looking back, do you regret your decision?

To be honest no. When I remember what state I was in at the time, there was no other way. I was mentally and physically exhausted, my body was no longer following.

In holy fire, unlike previous editions, dropouts are replaced by the last candidate eliminated (Tania). Do you know ?

No, I didn’t know, but I thought about it anyway. When Denis Brogniart announced that Tania was returning to the game, I was very happy for her. My abandonment will at least have served that purpose.

Do you think the plot of the show reflects your adventure well?

I find that I had a little too much of the role of the doer in camp, although to be honest I was far from inactive. A little overused.

You were the victim of a barotrauma, how did the production take care of you?

We contacted the doctor who came to the camp quickly. He was immediately diagnosed with a major ear infection. I was taken to the hospital by helicopter so that I could do all the follow-up examinations so I wouldn’t take any risks. With a fall-based treatment, I was able to get back on track and in no case had to get carried away for at least 15 days. it was hard because i admire
