Coronation of Charles III: Kate and William disagree on role of young Prince George

Royal commentator Tom Quinn suggested there was a “little debate” behind the scenes over exactly what role Prince George’s grandfather, King Charles III, would play at the coronation.

Prince George’s role in his grandfather’s coronation created a “defense”.little dispute“He is with his family, who are concerned about the pressure on the young prince,” said one expert.

Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, are expected to be showcased at the coronation, according to leaked plans for the rehearsal of the official ceremony, which will take place on May 6.

While Charlotte and Louis attended the ceremony as spectators, Prince William and Kate Middleton are said to be “considering” the possibility of giving their eldest son a major responsibility during the royal event.

But according to royal commentator Tom Quinn, there would be a “little debate” behind the scenes as to exactly what role Prince George would play.

The author of the newly released book Gilded Youth said:I heard from my contacts that there was a debate about whether George should play a more formal role. I heard Kate and William were worried it was too much for him.”

Despite making several public appearances, Prince William’s children have been gradually introduced to public duties over the years, and last September, Queen William II. He was seen at Elizabeth’s funeral.

However, while Tom Quinn hinted that the young heir would play a role during the coronation, he stated that it “won’t be very important”.

Talking about the concerns about the role, he added:This is almost an echo of how William and Harry were sometimes tricked into attending official events they weren’t supposed to attend, most notably their mother’s funeral and walking behind her coffin.

“A lot of people criticized it and said it was a terrible thing to do to two boys so young, especially Harry. I think people remember that and say, ‘Wait, if George plays a similar role at the coronation, doesn’t that go too far?”

It will take until 6 May to discover the official role of young Prince George, heir to the crown, at the time of Charles’ coronation.
