EXCLUSIVE: The popular CW series All Americans Darone Okolie added (win time) and Tre Hale (Platonic) in recurring roles until the cast of Season 5. The series airs Mondays at 8:00 p.m.
Okolie will play Sal Dominguez, a former high school linebacker with a past. He is a personal trainer at a gym who becomes important to Spencer James (Daniel Ezra) and Jordan Baker (Michael Evans Behling). Hale plays Kai, a potential breakdown recruit chasing an old dream.
All Americans follows Spencer James, a young Crenshaw football player recruited to play for Beverly High School, and must navigate his two vastly different worlds as they begin to collide. In season 5, during his sophomore year in college, Spencer tries to help rebuild the school’s football program after their head coach is exposed for intentionally injuring opposing players.
The series also stars Bre-Z, Monet Mazur, Samantha Logan, Cody Christian, Hunter Clowdus, Michael Evans Behling and Greta Onieogou. Taye Diggs, who starred as Billy Baker for 5 seasons, shocked fans by leaving the drama in Episode 11.
All Americans Executive producers are Nkechi Okoro Carroll (who serves as showrunner), Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, John A. Norris, Jameal Turner, Mike Herro and David Strauss. The series is produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. TV and CBS studios.
Okolie currently stars as Larry Johnson on HBO Winning Era: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, which recently wrapped its second season. He will next appear in the Disney+ series The Crossover. Hale is next on the Apple TV+ lineup, Platonic by Nick Stoller, with Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne. Platonic will premiere in late spring/early summer of 2023. His credits also include national champion (STX/Thunder Road) and love and monsters (Paramount) for the big screen and MagnumPI (CBS/NBC) for television.
