outside banks will premiere its third season on February 23, and Netflix has already renewed the series for a fourth season.
The news was announced Saturday at the Poguelandia fan event in Huntington Beach, California. Series of stars in attendance included Chase Stokes (John B.), Madelyn Cline (Sarah), Madison Bailey (Kiara), Jonathan Daviss (Pope), Carlacia Grant (Cleo), Rudy Pankow (JJ), Austin North (Topper ) and Drew Starkey (Rafe).
“Seeing Poguelandia come to life was nothing short of spectacular. The Pogues are on the adventure of a lifetime, and we can now record more twists and turns as the joyride continues in season four of outside banks. Thank you Netflix, our cast and the amazing fans who helped make this possible,” co-creators, showrunners and executive producers Jonas Pate, Josh Pate and Shannon Burke said at Saturday’s celebration.
In Season 3, the Pogues end up on a deserted island that briefly looks like an idyllic home. Officially dubbed ‘Poguelandia’, the island’s newest residents spend their days fishing, swimming and enjoying the carefree lifestyle of their temporary home.
But things quickly go awry for John B, Sarah, Kiara, Pope, JJ and Cleo as they once again find themselves in a race for the treasure and literally running for their lives. Broke and far from home, they have no one to trust, Ward and Rafe are out for revenge, and there’s a ruthless Caribbean Don who will stop at nothing to get the bounty. Was the treasure ever within reach? Or was it all just a trap to stop her once and for all? Either way, it’s the Pogues against the world – and the only way out is together.
Seasons 1 and 2 are currently available to stream on Netflix.
