Joy Behar said something she shouldn’t have said The view. This time it was about one of her colleagues.
While the show’s “Hot Topics” segment discussed the importance of friendships in the workplace, Behar opened up about her one-time exit from the show. She said she was happy when she was dropped off because her “friends” from the program had already left.
“I always have friends where I work, and if I don’t have friends at work, I’m not going to keep my job,” Behar said. “The last time I got fired from this show, people said to me, ‘Is it okay? and my answer is: I was happy, because all my friends had already left. So there was no reason to stay. I’m serious.”
Goldberg was at the podium when Behar left and immediately brought it up. “Real? Everyone did your friends leave? Then she let out a false scream, her lips quivering. “It’s okay, I’m cool,” she joked.
Behar quickly began to clear up.
“You just walked in and my friends backstage are gone. And I don’t like to work if I don’t have friends,” Behar said.
Goldberg lets her off the hook. She said they have been “friends for a long time” and that she was just “teasing”.
Behar swore she wasn’t going anywhere. Comparing her 80-year-old self to President Joe Biden, she said she “will not get up from that chair.”
