The concert raised $150,000 for the association.

Among the cast, Backstreet Boys frontman Aaron and Angel’s 42-year-old older brother Nick Carter took the stage with 98 Degrees’ AJ McLean, Bass and Jeff Timmons to perform acoustic versions of the BSB hits “Shape of My Heart” and “”. “This Is What I Want” with the help of Aaron’s pianist Stan Jones of 20 years.

The 42-year-old actress also sang her new single ‘Hurts to Love You’, inspired by her late brother, for the first time and presented its clip. In addition, Aaron’s unreleased song “Recovery” was performed to the crowd with a three-man band. Childhood videos of him and Nick were also shown.

Other artists on the show included David Archuleta, LFO’s Brad Fischetti, Ryan Cabrera and B. Howard.

According to Nick, to close the show, all the artists got together to perform John Lennon’s song “Imagine,” a song Aaron often sings.

In the days following his death, both Angel and Nick paid tribute to the Backstreet Boys member on Instagram as they talked about their turbulent relationship. “Although my brother and I have a complicated relationship, my love for him has never waned,” she wrote. “I hoped that one day he would somehow walk the healthy path and finally find the help he needed so much.”

Angel also commemorated her twin on December 7, their 35th birthday. “Aaron’s death was the worst day of my life,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’ve loved him since we were born… I feel like a part of my soul is gone.”
