Range Media Partners signs Antonia Desplat from Shantaram

EXCLUSIVE: Range Media Partners has added actress, writer and producer Antonia Desplat to management.

Desplat recently starred alongside Charlie Hunnam in the Apple TV+ series Shantaram, based on the novel of the same name by Gregory David Roberts. Previous television credits include ITVs The Durrells and Victoriaas well as the Netflix drama The letter to the king.

Desplat’s most recent role on the big screen was in Wes Anderson’s Ensemble French sent, in which she appeared alongside Timothée Chalamet, Saoirse Ronan, Frances McDormand and Tilda Swinton. Other film credits include MGMs Operation Finale with Oscar Isaac, Ben Kingsley and Mélanie Laurent and the French short film Naissance d’une étoilein which she starred alongside Oscar nominee Catherine Deneuve.

Desplat is best known in the film industry for producing and starring in short films Held for a while. The film won her the award for Best Actress at the London Independent Film Awards upon its release in 2019, among other awards from festivals around the world.

A graduate of Drama Center London and East 15 Acting School, the multi-hyphenate, who founded London film production company Luna Moon Productions, was classically trained in music theory, ballet, voice and guitar from an early age. She is still represented by the Curtis Brown Group, UBBA and attorney Lucy Popkin.
