Fremantle restructured its European operations, appointing CEOs for Northern and Southern Europe and a Paramount Global Executive for the latter.
Jaime Ondarza will assume the role of CEO of Southern Europe and Georgette Schlick has been promoted to CEO of Northern Europe.
Rome-based Ondarza, who most recently served as Paramount Global’s EVP for Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa and Head of Streaming South EMEA and Latin America, will oversee Fremantle’s production operations in France, Israel, Italy, Portugal and Spain, including Abot Hameiri, guide. The experienced executive worked for Paramount at Warner for a long time.
Schlick continues to look after Belgium and the Netherlands and expands his portfolio to include Scandinavia.
The pair will not oversee the stage companies of Christian Vesper, who was recently promoted to CEO of Global Drama and has now taken control of Italy’s Lux Vide, Richard Brown’s Passenger and Scandinavia’s Miso Film, among others.
“We have carefully designed this new structure to best support our regional executives across Europe,” said Andrea Scrosati, Fremantle Group COO and CEO Continental Europe. “Georgette and Jaime are the perfect choice to fill these key roles and future-proof our rapidly expanding business.”
Fremantle has been very commercial lately, as the company targets 3 billion euros ($3.2 billion) in sales by 2025.
