Greetings Gate continues. After Ryan Seacrest said Tuesday that Andy Cohen never acknowledged him on New Year’s Eve while both airing their live shows for ABC and CNN, Cohen took to his Sirius XM show on Wednesday to set the record straight.
And his claim is… he’s never seen Seacrest ten feet away. His co-host Anderson Cooper did, which is apparently why he waved for it american idol Host and mouth “put on a good show.” At least that’s what Seacrest claims Live! with Kelly and Ryan Tuesday.
“I didn’t see him,” Cohen continued Andy Cohen Live. “I don’t even know what I did, I didn’t see Anderson [Cooper] turn and wave. Which Anderson normally will, and I have to, I have to call him back and ask him honestly. But I think he’ll yell at me if I do…usually when he waves at Ryan he tells me, “Hey, there’s Ryan.” You know what I mean? Yes. And then I turn around and wave like I’m going to say, ‘There’s Ryan,’ but he’s not.”
Cohen then called Cooper to see if his New Years co-host supported him. Cooper didn’t seem too happy about the break — which, as the House vote continues for the speaker and all.
“Oh, you’re involving me in Seacrest,” Cooper began.
“Yes, yes, yes,” Cohen replied. “It’s between us because on the show he said you very politely turned around and waved at him and told him a good show and I didn’t turn around.
“Right,” Cooper replied. “Or Happy New Year or something.”
“Okay, okay,” Cohen said. “And I, and, and my point is the point that I just made on the show was mainly that if one of us sees Ryan and turns and waves, we’re going to be like, ‘Oh, there’s Seacrest.’ So I say you didn’t tell me this year.

Cohen and Seacrest have verbally abused each other over the years. Seacrest recently said it was a “good idea” not to let CNN hosts drink during their live broadcast, which Cohen was not happy about. Last year, Cohen called the cast of Seacrest’s show “losers.”
