New York’s beautiful Central Park tower is about to lose its crown as the world’s tallest residential building. Developers are unveiling a “hypertower” in Dubai that they hope will surpass Manhattan’s 472-metre skyscrapers.

The building, called Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences, is a collaboration between Emirati property development firm Binghatti and watchmaker Jacob & Co. World’.

The Central Park tower has 98 floors – there are plans to build 100 of the “ultra-luxury” Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co residences. And it won’t just be the height that catches the eye. Renderings show how the building will support a “crown” of diamond-shaped towers.

It has been promised that the building – which will stand “lavishly in the heart of Dubai’s premier financial district, Business Bay” – will also be glamorous on the inside.

A statement read: “The proposed design includes over 100 floors comprising of luxurious two and three bedroom apartments.

“This hypertower is also home to a dedicated concierge team that offers a la carte services such as childcare, bodyguard, driver and private chef.”

Meanwhile, at the top of the Burj Binghatti, Jacob & Co Residences will house “five of the most luxurious and exclusive penthouses in Dubai”.

Jacob Arabo, chairman and creative director of Jacob & Co, said: “They soar above the world and offer uninterrupted views of the city’s skyline, including downtown and the Dubai Water Canal.

“Inspired by our premium watch collections, these penthouses will consist of three types, each named after our flagship Jacob & Co timepieces, Fleurs De Jardin, Astronomia and Billionaire.

The interior design of the Penthouse collection is directly inspired by its unique aesthetic. As the name suggests, the Billionaire Penthouse is the Hypertower’s crown jewel.’

The tower will also house an “exclusive” private club with “an expansive infinity pool” and an “extravagant” lounge.
