Located between the Spanish autonomous communities of Aragon, Castilla-La Mancha, and Comunidad Valenciana, this mountain range spans more than 60 kilometers, so its excursions are diverse (and can take days if we want).

Roads by car through the Sierra de Albarracín

If you’re a driving lover and want a comfortable escape from the Sierra de Albarracín, there are several routes that will take us to some of the most magical and beautiful places here.

• Pine sea and stone rivers. This route will take us through Orihuela, Bronchales and Noguera. It is the high altitude route where we can find magnificent landscapes such as stone rivers, Noguera lagoon, pits and sinkholes or the majestic pine forests of Bronchales and Orihuela. The purest form of nature.
• The route of the castles. We will visit Bronchales, Monterde de Albarracín, Pozondón, Ródenas and Peracense. We will get to know Sierra castles like Peracense castle. This route is perfect for those who love medieval stories.
• Highland landscapes. This route invites us to take in astonishing landscapes such as the magnificent valleys or the sources of the Tagus, Turia and Cabriel rivers. We will pass through Villar del Cobo, Griegos, Guadalaviar and Frías de Albarracín.
• salt valleys. Passing through Royuela, Calomarde, Frías de Albarracín and Moscardón, we will visit the famous Calomarde waterfall, Frías cliff, fountains and streams that merge with valleys and valleys.
• Cabriel and the Jabalón River. Terriente is a complete route through El Vallecillo, Toril, Masegoso, Jabaloyas and Valdecuenca. This option enters the southern part of the Sierra de Albarracín. If we choose this option, we will visit the San Pedro waterfall, Ojos del Cabriel (where the water gushes from the ground), Mount Jabalón or the juniper groves of Saldón and Valdecuenca.

• Ravens and enchanted valleys. This route will take us to explore Tramacastilla, Villar del Cobo and Torres. This option is perfect for all lovers. slow driving and those who want to enjoy every corner.

Hiking routes through the Sierra de Albarracín

If you like to feel nature in its purest form while doing sports, these hiking trails are perfect for a different plan. Thematic, multi-stage or circular routes can be made to suit our tastes with some options.

• From Bronchales to Masegoso. It is a 40 km journey that can be divided into up to six stages. It passes through Bronchales, Noguera, Tramacastilla, Calomarde, Moscardón, Terriente and Masegoso.
• From Rubiales to Orihuela. A 64 km transit route. From Rubiales to Orihuela del Tremedal, it passes through Bezas, Albarracín, Monterde and Bronchales, passing some of the most interesting places in the Sierra de Albarracín.

• From Orihuela to Rubiales. A total of 87.8 km, with a cumulative elevation gain of 3,800 meters, passing through some of the Sierra’s most beautiful landscapes.
