Will you stay in a POD? Inside the fabulous Copenhagen hotel, which offers guests L-shaped Tetris-style capsules to sleep in

If you fancy accommodation that resembles a spaceship without the inconvenience of traveling through space, then this quirky hotel is for you.

At CityHub in Copenhagen – a mix of hostel and hotel – guests sleep in L-shaped Tetris-style pods.

At first glance they look claustrophobic, but they are actually surprisingly roomy, with enough space inside for two adults and luggage.

They are also warm and, despite their compact size, almost unbelievably quiet.

Inside, you’ll find a comfortable king-size bed, two shelves, charging ports, a Bluetooth speaker, plenty of standing space – and a warped mirror.

Upon arrival, guests use a self-service check-in system and receive a wristband as a key.

Travelers can treat themselves to beer and wine at the self-catering bar and then relax in the chill zone.

But solo travelers looking to meet like-minded people should be aware that there are no social activities and others keep a low profile in public areas.

With over 8,800 reviews on Booking.com and an average rating of nine out of ten, it’s easy to see why CityHub is a popular choice among travelers.

But is it worth paying £219 a night – and is there really enough room for two people?

That’s true, but for two tall people the room can seem cramped.

However, CityHub is an unforgettable, quirky experience, with fantastic service from friendly staff and a convenient location just 1.3 miles from Tivoli Gardens and within walking distance of lively bars and restaurants. So all in all I would say the price represents good value for money.
