If you can’t get enough of a Billy bookcase or the Malm collection, then this Austrian residence is for you.
A group of travelers were both excited and surprised when they arrived at their hostel in Vienna to find it in an Ikea.
TikTok user Jess Braun posted a short clip of her Ikea hotel experience after her stay at Jo&Joe Hostel.
In the 14-second clip, Jess showed off the multi-story home goods store, which is located on the top two floors of the store.

She filmed them arriving at the store and walking through the showroom and lower floors between customers before reaching their destination.
“When your residence is literally in an Ikea in Vienna,” Jess captioned the video.
“Honestly being a floor above the Ikea food court is a 10/10 from me,” the excited traveler enthusiastically captioned the clip, which has been viewed more than 1.2 million times.

According to Hostel World’s website, Jo&Joe, located on the roof of HÜS at Westbahnhof in Vienna, is the world’s first downtown Ikea, located on the fifth and sixth floors of the Swedish store.
‘[There’s also] a beer garden on our 1,800 square meter 7th floor roof terrace with bars in converted shipping containers,” the website continues. “Sound good? Yes it is!!!’
According to its website, the trendy hostel offers private rooms, dormitories and atypical configurations.
TikTok users were surprised – and excited – at the prospect of being just an Ikea-issued tape measure away from Swedish meatballs within their reach.
“This Ikea was the highlight of my trip,” enthuses one user.
“This was my FAVORITE item on my backpacking trip!! Don’t forget the rooftop bar :),” suggested one user.
“Come back drunk and just sleep in a display bed,” joked another.

Others noted that they had difficulty finding the entrance to their accommodation.
“I booked this hostel once but I arrived at night and the Ikea was closed… I searched for ages outside the elevator,” wrote one TikTok user.
One TikTok user had some inspiring words for any guests wanting the Ikea experience.
“All Ikes are boarding houses if you’re brave enough,” they insisted.
Although it is not an Ikea hotel, but rather a residence on top of an Ikea, there is an Ikea hotel for every lover of the Swedish furniture giant.
am iLocated in Älmhult, Sweden, the hotel opened in the 1960s but has since expanded several times, from the original 25 to 254 rooms.
The rooms are, as you’d expect, simply furnished with Ikea furniture, including high-tech floor lamps that double as wireless chargers.
