This week, Olympic snowboarder, broadcaster and podcaster Aimee Fuller joins our travel Q&A.
She reveals her favorite ski resorts in Europe and the US, looks back at her favorite winter Olympic destination and lists the must-have…
EARLY HOLIDAY REMINDER?
A day trip to Camber Sands in East Sussex with mum and dad. I was energetic as a child, loved paddling, building sandcastles and eating Calippo popsicles.
FIRST FOREIGN TRIP?
Lanzarote as a child on family holiday. I climbed the side of a volcano on a camel.

Aimee climbed camel after camel on her first trip abroad
FAVORITE OLYMPIC WINTER TRIP?
I explored Seoul after attending the 2018 Olympics in South Korea. A highlight was a cat cafe where you drink tea surrounded by cats. The food markets are great. I ate vegetarian tofu with kimchi.
THE BEST EUROPEAN SKI AREA?
Tyrol in Austria where you can buy a carpool ticket and use it in many ski resorts. Tyrolean food may be a bit heavy-handed, but it’s a treat every now and then. Who doesn’t love Kaiserschmarrn [sweet pancake] at 2,000 meters?
FAVORITE SKI AREA IN THE USA?
Mammoth Mountain in California. The surrounding pine trees are beautiful and you can combine snowboarding with a swim in the local hot springs. Perfect after a long day on the mountain.
ARE YOU A GOOD SLEEPER?
Yes, and I prefer long or short haul flights because you can put your feet up and enjoy a podcast and a movie.

Aimee says Mammoth Mountain (above) in California is her favorite ski resort in the US. “The surrounding pine trees are beautiful,” she reveals
TOP TRAVEL BEAUTY TIP?
Baby towels to freshen up during the trip. Also extra underwear.
CAN’T TRAVEL WITHOUT?
My sports bra and sneakers so I can go running. I like to stay energetic.
DREAM DESTINATION?
At the moment it is Thailand.
