Three of the world’s best rural destinations are in Spain (and must-sees in 2023)

Traveling remains one of our favorite plans in the new year that has just begun, and moreover, if what we do is go to a rural destination where we can disconnect from the big city to connect with nature. So explore new places thanks to tourism experts.

The World Tourism Organization prepares a tourism list every year. Best Tourism Villages, a list of the world’s best countryside destinations. This year, three more Spanish cities are joining the selected destinations and together Morella in Castellón and Lekunberri in NavarraIt has already joined the list of the best rural destinations in the world, which was included last year.

Out of 136 candidates this year, only 32 met the requirements. And the organization selects only those. Population working with responsible tourism as the engine of change economy, and in this new list, three Spanish towns have been added to this list.
