A Russian tourist was found unconscious inside a bar toilet in the Thai resort city of Pattaya before mistakenly claiming his leg had been amputated.
When the man regained consciousness, he complained to attending medical workers that surgeons had removed one of his legs, despite all of his limbs remaining completely intact.
Staff members at an establishment located on Walking Street discovered the unconscious foreigner inside the restroom and immediately called police officers and paramedics to the scene, according to the SHOT Telegram channel.
Following his awakening and the initial confusion regarding his condition, the tourist refused hospitalization and declined further treatment from emergency responders.

Relatives of the Russian tourist later explained that his severe disorientation was caused by mixing alcohol with prescription antidepressant medication.

However, the owner of the bar noted that staff observed visible traces of drug consumption at the venue during the incident.
Responding police officers photographed the passports of both the tourist and his companions before releasing the group without making any arrests.
Popular resort city in Thailand
Pattaya is a major resort city located in Chonburi Province on the Gulf of Thailand, approximately 100 kilometers southeast of the capital, Bangkok. The coastal city is famous for its beaches, hotel resorts, and vibrant tourism industry.
Walking Street serves as Pattaya's primary nightlife district, closing to vehicular traffic every evening to operate as a crowded pedestrian zone filled with bars, nightclubs, and entertainment venues.
Combining alcoholic drinks with antidepressant medications can severely depress the central nervous system, leading to acute confusion, loss of physical coordination, and cognitive hallucinations.
The emergency response follows a separate incident in Thailand where another Russian national was injured while intervening to protect two Finnish female tourists. In that earlier event, three men pursued the women to their hotel room and forced entry in an attempted sexual assault.
