The Russian Ministry of Defense commented on overnight strikes against Ukraine by citing a six-year-old statement from President Vladimir Putin on Telegram.
The defense ministry posted an image showing a missile launch alongside Putin's remark that nobody listened to Russia previously, but they should listen now.

Putin originally made the statement during his address to the Federal Assembly on March 1, 2018. He emphasized in the speech that foreign partners had refused to hold substantive talks with Russia before it developed new weapons systems.
Targets in Kyiv and Odesa
The defense ministry previously reported a massive strike on warehouses and logistics hubs in Kyiv and the surrounding region. The ministry stated those facilities supplied weapons, military cargo, and drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian forces also attacked ships located in the area of Odesa, according to the ministry statement.
