A Russian travel blogger living in Italy described her trip to Crimea in a post on her personal blog Tut Vam Ne Tam on the Dzen platform, stating that she already wants to return.
She explained that the journey to the peninsula was particularly meaningful because she could spend time with her family. She stayed mainly in Kerch and Yalta, while also making short two-day trips to Simferopol, Alupka, Simeiz, Uch-Kosh, Laspi, and Balaklava. She observed that many Crimean residents are now choosing to holiday within the peninsula itself.
Local Prices and Public Services
Regarding cost of living, the blogger stated that prices in Crimean stores surprised her greatly because they are already higher than prices in Italy. She added that her Italian husband began to feel sorry for local residents after hearing about Crimean price levels.
The blogger said she made an effort to visit the sea every morning during her stay. She noted that she does not like the beaches near Venice, so she tried to make the most of every opportunity to enjoy the Crimean coastline. She also mentioned completing all necessary paperwork during her visit, contrasting this with Italy where official procedures, medical treatment, and appointments take months.
In previous posts, the blogger had noted that fruits and vegetables in Crimea taste better than in Italy. She also stated earlier that her month in Crimea provided better rest than a holiday in Europe would have.
