Rumer Willis has filed an emergency request asking a judge to keep her ex-boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas' visits with their three-year-old daughter, Louetta, supervised.
The 38-year-old actress and daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis alleged the musician violated past custody orders and displayed unsafe judgment, according to court documents obtained by the Daily Mail.
Thomas, 32, denied the claims, accusing Willis of blocking his access to the child and asking a judge to maintain a plan for unmonitored visits.
The former couple have been engaged in a contentious custody dispute over Louetta since July 2025. Willis, an alumna of "Dancing With the Stars" and actress in "The House Bunny," was temporarily granted primary physical custody in June.
Representatives for Willis have not responded to requests for comment from the Daily Mail.
Visitation disagreements
In her recent court filing, Willis claimed Thomas has only had five and a half visits with Louetta due to conflicts over nannies scheduled to supervise his time with the child.
She alleged a specific court-approved nanny had to withdraw for a health issue, and that Thomas refused to accept replacement nannies on several occasions.
Willis stated that Thomas and his lawyer argued unsupervised visits should be allowed, which she said conflicted with a June 9 court order mandating supervision.
Willis detailed an incident at a Fourth of July parade where she alleged Thomas left Louetta with the supervising nanny. She claimed Thomas later prevented the nanny from entering an Airbnb where he was staying with his daughter and friends, telling the nanny to wait outside in uncomfortably hot weather.
In another instance, Willis alleged Thomas attempted an unsupervised visit because a specific nanny was not named in a court order. According to TMZ, Willis offered to host the visit at her home, but Thomas declined.
Regarding her claims of unsafe judgment, Willis alleged Thomas chose to walk two and a half miles in scorching heat with their daughter instead of renting a car.
Willis asked the court to maintain supervised visits for Thomas and block overnight stays with Louetta until a formal hearing. She also requested supervised visitation remain in effect pending a court-ordered 730 child custody evaluation.
Thomas denies allegations
Thomas' attorney, Mike Kretzmer, issued a statement to the Daily Mail denying Willis' claims.
"Ms. Willis continues to perpetuate lie upon lie upon lie concerning Mr. Thomas. The Court has previously ordered that Mr. Thomas's unmonitored, overnight visits were to begin the last weekend of August," Kretzmer wrote.
"In a desperate attempt to avoid compliance with the Court's orders favoring Mr. Thomas, Ms. Willis filed a reckless and demonstrably false pleading with the Court attacking Mr. Thomas on a number of issues which will all be heard by the court on September 10th."
Thomas has filed a legal objection to Willis' request to modify the visitation orders. He asked the court to uphold the June decision, which stipulated neither parent would take Louetta out of California without a valid court order or written agreement.
Willis announced on August 12 that she was moving to Nashville.
"Ms. Willis has also, without permission or valid court order, stated she has moved to Nashville with their child, further thwarting the Court's orders for custody and visitation for Mr. Thomas," Kretzmer alleged. "Ms Willis continues to flaunt court orders and engage in an unwarranted smear campaign against Mr Thomas."

Kretzmer added that Thomas is a "very capable, loving and devoted father," stating: "Mr. Thomas has not at any time engaged in the use of any illicit substances or in any conduct of any kind whatsoever that has placed or would place their child at risk of any harm."
In court documents, Thomas alleged Willis "has done everything in her power to interfere, block and frustrate [his] relationship" with his child.
"I have had a very close and loving relationship [with our daughter]. At no time have I ever placed our daughter in danger of any kind whatsoever," Thomas stated.
He continued: "I'm now, and always have been, fully capable of providing Louetta with the care she requires and deserves."
"I reject completely, and without reservation, [Willis'] claims concerning my alleged abuse of drugs, any conduct on my part that endangers Louetta and any failure at efforts to cooperate with her and coparent," he concluded.
