A 40-year-old tourist from Qatar, Abdulla Yusif Ha Al-Harkan, is being deported from Thailand after attacking six people at the Hua Hin resort area, Bangkok Post reported.
On the evening of Sunday, August 2, Al-Harkan wrecked a cannabis shop in the coastal city of Prachuap Khiri Khan, then went outside and began beating anyone who came near him. He attacked a 32-year-old shop employee, a motorcyclist who had come to pick up his girlfriend, and a woman in a wheelchair who was selling flowers, pulling her from her chair and hitting her in the face.
It took five people to subdue him. Police said he had entered Thailand on a tourist visa valid until September 22, 2026, and he was charged with assault.
Al-Harkan agreed to pay the victims a total of 100,000 baht, about 238,000 rubles, in compensation, including 25,000 baht, about 59,500 rubles, to the woman in the wheelchair. His visa will be cancelled once the court case concludes.
