Olivia Munn used the 2026 Emmy Awards red carpet to send a birthday message to her 2-year-old daughter, Méi, telling her she was the most magical gift during an interview broadcast on Live From E!: 2026 Emmys.
"Méi Méi, I cannot believe I get to be your mommy," Munn said while addressing her daughter during the exclusive interview with Keltie Knight on Sept. 14. "It is the most magical gift."
"I can't believe you're in the world," she continued, "and I truly can't believe that we can make someone that we love so much."
Munn, 46, spent the evening at the ceremony with her husband, comedian John Mulaney, 44. The two share Méi as well as a 4-year-old son, Malcolm.
Your Friends & Neighbors at the Emmys
Munn stars in the Apple TV series Your Friends & Neighbors, which was nominated for Outstanding Drama Series at this year's ceremony. The award ultimately went to The Pitt. Mulaney also had a role in the night's proceedings, presenting the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series award to The Pitt's Noah Wyle.
Munn also spoke with Knight about the future of her own show. "We ended the second season with a big cliffhanger," she said. "We start the third season, that we've just finished filming, where you see really how secrets really destroy not just you, but your friends and the people around you."
Munn on the Challenges of Toddler Communication
Munn's Emmys appearance came as she continues adjusting to life with an increasingly talkative toddler. Speaking to E! News in March, she described the confusion of parenting a 2-year-old still learning to express herself.
"The only thing that's a bit confusing is that she says 'No' to things that she means no about, but also means yes? She will get mad if you don't know the difference," Munn said at the time. "Being in communication with a toddler makes you feel gaslit all the time."
"I'm like, 'What's going on? I'm trying my best!'" she added.
Other Couples on the Emmys Red Carpet
Munn and Mulaney walked the red carpet hand-in-hand alongside several other couples at the 2026 Emmys. Jimmy Kimmel attended with his wife, Molly McNearney, while The Flight Attendant's Kaley Cuoco appeared with Task actor Tom Pelphrey, four months after the couple confirmed her pregnancy.
Mad Men's Jon Hamm attended with his wife, Anna Osceola, who debuted a baby bump of her own. The Pitt actress Katherine LaNasa was supported by her husband of 12 years, Grant Snow.
Also on the carpet were Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart, Shrinking's Jason Segel with longtime partner Kayla Radomski, and Late Show host Stephen Colbert with his wife, Evelyn McGee. Jason Bateman and his wife of 25 years, Amanda Anka, also attended.
Suite Life alum Brenda Song appeared with Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin, while ceremony host Mariska Hargitay was joined by her husband, Peter Hermann, and their children, Andrew, Amaya and August. Nominees Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell attended together, as did Real Housewives alum Lisa Rinna and her husband of nearly 30 years, Harry Hamlin.
