Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin were dubbed the future "hottest grandparents in Hollywood" as they discussed their hopes of grandchildren while arriving at the 2026 Emmys.
The couple, who share daughters Delilah Belle Hamlin, 28, and Amelia Gray Hamlin, 25, spoke with E! News' Justin Sylvester on the red carpet about whether they were ready for the next generation of Hamlins.
Sylvester asked the pair directly, noting that fellow star Kyle was becoming a grandparent and that Cathy already had four grandchildren. "Are you guys ready for one of the girls to bring home a baby?" he asked.
"Wouldn't that be amazing?" Hamlin replied. "Look, their careers are on fire. They got a little more time out there with their careers, but I'm looking forward to a grand kid, for sure."
"Me too!" Rinna added. "For sure!"
Sylvester then declared them "the hottest grandparents in Hollywood," before correcting himself to call them "the hottest couple here."
A red carpet display of nearly 30 years together
Rinna and Hamlin, who have been married for close to three decades, walked the carpet hand in hand. Rinna wore a leggy, glittering black gown, while Hamlin was dressed in a black tuxedo with a bow tie.
The couple joined the biggest names in television at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles on Monday for the 78th annual Primetime Emmy Awards. Law & Order: SVU star and executive producer Mariska Hargitay hosted the ceremony, the first time a woman has hosted the show in 15 years.
Widow's Bay sweeps as Matthew Rhys makes history
Apple TV horror comedy Widow's Bay was the night's biggest winner, taking all six awards it was nominated for, including Outstanding Comedy Series. It beat out Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks, Margo's Got Money Troubles, Nobody Wants This, Only Murders in the Building and Shrinking.
The series is set in the fictional New England island town of Widow's Bay, which is afflicted by a centuries-old curse that brings supernatural trouble to its residents.
Star Matthew Rhys made history as the first actor to win two leading acting awards in different categories in the same night. He won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Widow's Bay, in which he plays mainland-born mayor Tom Loftis, a widower and father to son Evan who is initially skeptical of the island's supposed curse. Rhys also won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for The Beast in Me, in which he plays Nile Jarvis, the son of a real estate magnate who moves next door to Aggie Wiggs, played by Claire Danes, in Oyster Bay, New York, after allegedly killing his first wife.
Kate O'Flynn and Stephen Root also won for Widow's Bay, taking Outstanding Supporting Actress and Actor in a Comedy Series, respectively. Katie Dippold won Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for the episode "Welcome to Widow's Bay," and Hiro Murai won Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for the same episode.
The Pitt repeats as top drama
The Pitt again took home Outstanding Drama Series, along with Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Noah Wyle, matching its wins from last year's ceremony. The HBO Max series led the night with 25 nominations, more than any other show, and beat The Diplomat, The Gilded Age, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Paradise, Pluribus, Slow Horses and Your Friends and Neighbors for the top drama prize.
The Pitt follows healthcare workers at a Pittsburgh hospital as they navigate personal crises, workplace politics and the emotional toll of treating critically ill patients. Wyle, 55, plays Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch, the show's protagonist, who deals with trauma and unresolved post-COVID stress. He beat Sterling K. Brown for Paradise, Gary Oldman for Slow Horses, Mark Ruffalo for Task and Rufus Sewell for The Diplomat.
Other major winners of the night
Rhea Seehorn, 54, won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Pluribus, beating Zendaya among others. Jean Smart won her fifth consecutive Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series award for Hacks, which just wrapped its fifth and final season. The win marked Smart's eighth Emmy from her 15th nomination, and the 75-year-old actress appeared emotional as Zendaya presented her with the honor.
Sally Field won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for Remarkably Bright Creatures. DTF St. Louis won Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, The Traitors won Outstanding Reality Competition Program, and The Late Show With Stephen Colbert won Outstanding Variety Series.
Allison Janney won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for The Diplomat, and Tom Pelphrey won Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Task. Vince Gilligan won Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series for Pluribus, and Saul Metzstein won Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series for Slow Horses.
