Folk artist Nikolai Tsiskaridze shared details of a severe childhood illness during a recent episode of the Tonight program on the Easter and miracle channel. The Russian ballet star revealed that he suffered from a golden staphylococcus infection in his youth.

Tsiskaridze said his body temperature did not fall below 38 degrees during the illness. Doctors performed 10 operations at the same time while treating him for the condition.

Treatment and Recovery

During his hospital stay, Tsiskaridze was treated alongside Guillaume, the son of actor Gerard Depardieu, who had the same diagnosis. Tsiskaridze recalled, "Guillaume, Gerard Depardieu’s son was lying next to me, had the same diagnosis. His leg was cut off, the gangrene began. And the doctor told me that he was one of the uncomplicated million."

According to the artist, an unexpected visit marked the key turning point in his recovery. Tsiskaridze said, "He communized Mea and the next day the temperature disappeared. Before that I was tortured for a month."

Bolshoi Theater Criticism
