Actor Nicolas Cage said he fears artificial intelligence and neural networks are stealing his appearance as he prepares to undergo a digital scan for an upcoming Spider-Man series.
The Face/Off star expressed concern over how his eye color and physical data could be used in the future, speaking in an interview with The New Yorker that was reported by People Talk.
Concerns Over Digital Scans
"They’ll hook me up to a computer and match my eye color and other data. I wonder what will happen to the actors in the end. Will they be replaced? What do you want to do with my body and my face when I die? I don’t want you to do anything to it!" Cage said emotionally during the interview.
Cage noted that he has already witnessed the possibilities of neural networks through his cameo as Superman fighting a giant spider in the movie The Flash. He later stated that he did not actually participate in the filming of that scene.
