Millie Bobby Brown and husband Jake Bongiovi arrived for a romantic dinner at La Terrazza Gualtiero Marchesi in Lake Como, Italy, on Friday.
The couple enjoyed a child-free date night at the high-end restaurant located inside the Grand Hotel Tremezzo. Brown, 22, is an English actress best known for her starring role as Eleven in the Netflix science fiction drama series Stranger Things. Bongiovi, 24, is an American model and actor.
The couple looked as loved up as ever during their evening out. Lake Como, located in the Lombardy region of Northern Italy, is an exclusive resort destination famous for its luxury hotels, historic villas, and lakeside dining venues.
Brown married Bongiovi, the son of legendary American rock singer Jon Bon Jovi, in May 2024. The couple expanded their family last summer when they adopted a baby girl.
For the dinner outing, Brown dressed in a striking backless purple maxi dress featuring a halterneck cut and a sequinned waistband. She styled her brunette hair into a neat bun and accessorised with gold hooped earrings and a gold bangle.
Bongiovi cut a smart figure beside his wife, wearing an unbuttoned white shirt paired with grey trousers and black loafers.
The model and actor was all smiles as he walked arm in arm with his wife before gallantly helping her onto a boat to travel to the restaurant.
Brown showed a glimpse of her flower tattoo as she carefully climbed into the vessel.
Staff members were on hand at the dock to ensure the actress safely made it onto the boat.
Brown leaned on her husband for support as they boarded.
The pair appeared in great spirits throughout the night out, smiling and enjoying the romantic atmosphere.
Both ensured they looked stylish for their romantic outing on the lake.
Brown completed her ensemble by carrying a striking multicoloured floral print handbag.
The couple, who married two years ago, were spending quality child-free time together during their trip to Italy.
As they arrived at the restaurant, Bongiovi greeted a gentleman, assumed to be the manager, with a warm handshake before they went on to enjoy their meal. The pair seemed excited as they arrived for the swanky meal.
London dinner with Jon Bon Jovi
The Italian date night came just days after the couple enjoyed a dinner with Bongiovi's father, rock musician Jon Bon Jovi, 64, at the Notting Hill restaurant Dorian on Monday.
The Enola Holmes actress appeared in high spirits as she posed for a photograph alongside her husband and father-in-law. Dorian, a Michelin-starred establishment in West London, has earned a reputation as one of the city's premier celebrity hot spots, frequently visited by high-profile figures including Victoria and David Beckham.
Brown wore polka dot capris, a black vest, and a cream cardigan for the London evening out. Bongiovi opted for an orange jumper worn over a white shirt.
Motherhood and family comments
Brown recently offered a rare look into her experience as a mother during an appearance on the late-night television broadcast The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
"My baby girl's growing, she's gorgeous," Brown said on the show.
Reflecting on how her family and in-laws have embraced the new child, she added: "They're all obsessed with her, she doesn't ever really get put down."
She shared that her father-in-law often jokes about the constant attention the baby receives from everyone around her. "Jake's dad always says, 'She's just gonna be, you know, carried for the next 18 years,'" Brown revealed.
Response to online criticism
Speaking on the Not Gonna Lie podcast, Brown fiercely defended her husband against negative commentary from online trolls.
Photographs of the couple had gone viral earlier this year showing Brown carrying a baby car seat and two backpacks. Subsequent photos showed her pushing a suitcase and her daughter's pram at the same time, leading to criticism directed at Bongiovi for not carrying the items.
"I'm not gonna lie, when did women become incapable of holding their own bags, car seats and stuff?..." Brown said during the interview.
"This stems from me holding all of my suitcases and bags and my kid and people are like, 'Your husband doesn't hold a single thing.' And I'm like, 'Because I'm three miles ahead. I have been planning this all night,'" she said.
She commented on public perceptions surrounding female independence and marriage dynamics. "We're all about empowering girls and, 'You got it,' and, 'You don't need a man.' But then when I'm like, 'OK, I can carry my own things,' people are like, 'Where's your husband?'"
"Nobody knows my husband," Brown continued. "My husband is the most polite, sweet, will-do-anything-for-me. But he also knows I'm capable."
Elsewhere during the podcast discussion, Brown disclosed that she had dreamed of adopting children since childhood. She explained that even as a young child playing with dolls, she imagined her dolls were adopted rather than pretending to be pregnant or having biological children.
She added that she also hopes to carry a biological child in the future. "It's not because I don't want that. Hopefully one day that's in my future," Brown said.
