Microsoft has raised Windows license fees for OEM manufacturers by 7 to 10 percent, according to a report from UDN.
UDN reported that the company increases these fees annually, but previous adjustments typically amounted to only a few percent.

Laptop maker Framework recently stated in a blog post that prices for the Framework Laptop 13 Pro reflect higher costs for Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, Windows licenses, memory, storage, and other components.
The higher licensing fees create an additional price growth factor in the personal computer market, contributing to further cost increases for already expensive systems.
