Actress Michelle Pfeiffer announced she never wants to star in a film again, shifting her focus to ensemble television roles instead. The actress, aged 68, shared her decision during an industry panel, noting that she no longer intends to return to the big screen in a central role.
Pfeiffer spoke on Sunday, August 2, during The Hollywood Reporter event titled THR x Apple TV’s Leading the Narrative: The Women of Apple TV. Addressing the audience, she swore to God that she never wants to star in a movie again, explaining that she only wants to work on projects with large ensemble casts because she finds them much more fun.
Shift to Ensemble Television
Much of Pfeiffer's enthusiasm grew from her work on Margo’s Got Money Troubles, a television series adapted from the bestselling novel by Rufi Thorpe. She said she was impressed by female performances in television, adding that women have truly conquered the medium.
The first season of Margo’s Got Money Troubles is currently available on Apple TV. Pfeiffer also stars in the television series The Madison, which is broadcast on Paramount+.
Current Television Projects
