Isabella Damon, the 20-year-old daughter of Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso, has signed a contract with IMG Models, according to Page Six.
The deal comes two years after Isabella finished high school and began studying at New York University. Page Six reported that the newly signed model could make her runway debut at New York Fashion Week, which is about a month away.
Isabella is one of the couple's four daughters. Damon and Barroso are also parents to Alexia, 27, Gia, 17, and Stella, 15. Damon, 55, and Barroso, 50, met in 2003 and married in December 2005.
Damon on family dinners
Damon, who is from Boston, spoke about family life in an interview with People in July. He said that he and his wife never break their rule of having dinner together as a family every night.
"We have family dinner every night, and that's non-negotiable, and it's always been that way," he said.
Damon admitted the family sometimes struggles to stay present during the ritual. "One of my daughters said, 'Well, family dinner, last night we didn't talk.' And we realized, 'Oh my gosh, you're right,'" he recalled. "We sat down for dinner, and you can get lost in that routine a little bit and not appreciate why you established the routine in the first place."
"That's the kind of family mindfulness we're all working on," he added.
Becoming empty nesters
With two of their children already out of the house, Damon and Barroso are close to becoming empty nesters. "I feel like we are facing it and embracing the fact that it's happening," Damon said. "We've been talking a lot about presence and about really trying to be in the moment, and because you can't slow time down, the only way to really do it is to really be there and be in it."
The Odyssey passes $1 billion
Damon has recently been promoting his film The Odyssey, directed by Christopher Nolan, which has crossed $1 billion at the box office. The film adapts Homer's ancient Greek story of the same name, following the Greek king Odysseus on a perilous journey home after the Trojan War to reunite with his wife, Penelope. Damon plays Odysseus, while Anne Hathaway, 43, plays Penelope, who fends off suitors during her husband's absence.
