Former English teacher Maeurn Smiles has used her earnings as an adult content creator to purchase land and construct a new school in her hometown of Naga, located in the Philippines.
The 25-year-old model purchased the land in 2024 for 1.7 million Philippine pesos, which is equivalent to 2.3 million Russian rubles, according to a report by news outlet Mothership.

Smiles, who performs under her online pseudonym, worked as an English teacher prior to launching her career on the subscription platform OnlyFans. Having grown up in poverty, she had long harbored ambitions to secure high-quality housing for her parents and to provide charitable assistance to low-income residents in her local community.
Her transition into adult content creation began after an unnamed man requested an explicit video from her and subsequently attempted to blackmail her with the footage. Rather than submitting to extortion, Smiles chose to preempt the blackmailer by launching her own commercial content channel. Selling her videos directly to online subscribers quickly allowed her to accumulate substantial wealth.
Smiles initially utilized her earnings to construct a large residential property for her parents. Following that project, she directed her financial resources toward purchasing property in Naga specifically intended for educational development.
Overcoming Bureaucratic Hurdles
When Smiles purchased the land plot in 2024, her initial intention was to transfer the property directly to the local government so that state authorities could build a public school on the site. However, she reconsidered after learning that official government regulations would prevent the institution from being named in honor of her father.
Faced with the restriction, Smiles decided to retain ownership of the property and undertake the construction of the school independently, using her personal funds to cover all development costs.
Although construction on the main school facility has not yet been completed, a small learning center has already opened on the grounds. Local children are currently using the facility to take classes in the sciences and gain practical instruction in cooking.
Smiles intends to complete the primary building in the future, expanding the campus so that it can accommodate up to 300 students from the surrounding area.
Background and Local Context

In the Philippines, public basic education is overseen by the Department of Education, a government body responsible for managing primary and secondary schools. Government-managed educational institutions operate under strict administrative guidelines regarding land transfers, naming rights, and public infrastructure development.
