The 40-year-old actress gave followers a further look into her travels on the water, posting a series of pictures and videos to her Instagram account as her summer getaway drew to a close.

"Thank you summer. It’s been great!" Lohan wrote in her caption. "Grateful for time with friends and family and the beautiful world we live in. Feeling blessed."

The Dubai-based star included solo selfies showcasing her radiant complexion alongside photos taken with girlfriends during the trip. The luxury vessel served as a home away from home for the family throughout their journey across European waters.

Lohan, who married Shammas in April 2022, also shared images of the couple enjoying date nights both on board and ashore. Earlier in the trip, she had posted updates describing herself as being "somewhere at sea" and sporting "ocean hair."

Lohan, who first rose to fame as a child star in the late 1990s, relocated to Dubai nearly a decade ago. She met Shammas while living in the United Arab Emirates, and the couple married in a private ceremony before welcoming their son Luai in 2023.

Family Time at Sea

While Lohan typically keeps details of her son's life private, the latest social media update included photos of three-year-old Luai bonding with his father while swimming and kayaking.

The images also showed the couple enjoying double dates with friends as part of the trip, offering a rare look into their private life away from the spotlight.

The vacation follows a family reunion earlier this month in New York, where Lohan was spotted out with her father, Michael Lohan, at Le Bilboquet restaurant in Sag Harbor. Page Six reported that her mother Dina, 63, and siblings Michael Jr, 38, Ali, 32, and Dakota, 30, also attended the gathering alongside Shammas and Luai.

Reflections on Turning 40

The summer getaway comes shortly after Lohan celebrated her 40th birthday, marking the occasion on social media with a reflective message about her life and career.

The mother-of-one also showed her son swimming on the exotic vacation around Europe

In her birthday post, the Mean Girls star acknowledged her past mistakes and expressed gratitude for the lessons she has learned over four decades in the public eye.

"Grateful for every chapter that brought me here," Lohan wrote. "For the lessons, the laughter, the love, the unexpected turns, and the people who've stood beside me through it all. This next decade feels different. More grounded. More intentional. More joyful. Here's to family, friendship, new beginnings, and making the most beautiful memories yet."

The loved-up couple appeared to enjoy double dates as part of the trip too, as seen in this Instagram Story

Speaking to People magazine about entering her 30s and 40s, Lohan offered advice for others navigating major age milestones, noting that "your 30s are [when] things start clicking."

"I'd say that this decade is yours," Lohan told People. "I think there's so much pressure around what you're supposed to have to figure out by a certain age, but I don't think that's necessarily the right way to look at it. Your 30s are [when] things start clicking, and you should also take seriously how you want to set yourself up for your future."

She also described turning 35 as another key turning point. "I don't know that I'd say it's between 30 and 40. For me, it can also be 35 and 40.. I think 35 is another milestone in a way because then you're almost 40. You're closer. So it's like another wake-up call moment," she said.

Career Resurgence and Personal Growth

Reflecting on what she has learned over the past decade, Lohan emphasized "the value of time," adding that "time is precious, and sometimes we forget time goes by so quickly that we should really enjoy every moment to its fullest."

Now based in Dubai, Lohan is rarely pictured publicly with her spouse Bader Shammas

Her career has seen a major resurgence in recent years following starring roles in two hit Christmas movies, which led to a Freaky Friday sequel. She is currently filming the series Count My Lies alongside Shailene Woodley.

Beyond her work on screen, the Parent Trap actress credited her husband with helping her maintain perspective in her personal and professional life. While describing herself as a naturally positive person, she acknowledged learning to temper her expectations.

"My husband has taught me, 'You have to be prepared for other things, so you don't get disappointed. If this doesn't go that way, then it's okay,'" Lohan told People. "And that's really important to me because I never really understood the value of that. You are your own vessel. If you don't nurture yourself, anything can distract you in a second. Anything can take a turn."
