Remember how in the third episode of Bridget Jones the main character went to Coachella and settled in a very cool tent? So now you can arrange the same holiday for yourself, but instead of a festival – a complete detox from nature and a noisy metropolis. And now we are talking about a new trend in the tourism industry – glamping.

For those who don’t know, glamping literally means “glamorous camping” (the same outdoor recreation, but in complete comfort). No, this is not just a hotel in the forest, it is a real tent with all city amenities.

There are many variations, from safari tents and dormitories to wagons and structures under glass domes. I must say that it looks very “Instagram”, so if you are a “hunter” for stylish photos, we advise you to pay attention to the May holidays. We’ve rounded up eight cool glamping in our stuff.

Novo-Okatovo is a new glamping hotel located on the banks of the Volga River in the Tver region, not far from Moscow. The house itself is a large tent outside and a comfortable, spacious room inside. In summer, the houses are filled with light, the entrance is a mosquito net, from which the view of the Volga opens. In winter, the tents are insulated and heated with a special stove, the temperature in the room is regulated using the control panel.

The design team tried to make your stay at the glamping hotel as pleasant as possible. All tents are decorated outside with a garland of warm lights, and instead of a chandelier there is a wetland composition of wood, light bulbs and glass inside. The trails in the area are illuminated by special wooden pillars that diffuse the light downwards and allow you to see the stars on a clear night.

Mamont Camp

Glamping is located in the Ust-Koksinsky district, which is considered the most remote and mystical in Altai. No civilization, just mountains, forest and river. You can’t get there in one day, there are six-day tours on the program.

On the territory there are five hemispherical tents with panoramic windows, as well as a common area for lunch and breakfast, an open-air font with sauna, hot water, shower and toilet.

The quaint houses built in the middle of a pine forest are just a two-hour drive from Moscow and perfectly convey the Scandinavian vibe. For those who want an active holiday, there are horse rides, a pottery workshop, cycling, fishing, yoga and even a rope park.

Glamping is located in a coniferous forest near the Tula region. “People come to us for a combination of beauty, wildness and comfort, waking up with walks, natural food and bird chirping in Polenov’s spaces. On Saturday evenings, we have friendly gatherings around the fire, we cook something hot in a pot, sometimes our musician friends come, ”says the founders of Green Trail.

A new format village where you can live, work and relax from the flacon design factory team. It’s a creative space with no walls or fences, with original architecture (from swanky to romantic chalets), interesting activities and like-minded neighbors.

Glamping is located away from tourist routes, between two rivers – Medoveevka and the mine river Chvizhepse. There are 24 tent houses in the area with all urban conditions (including air conditioning and bathroom).

For those who want to fully relax, there is a full spa centre, yoga classes, hiking trails in the forest and a restaurant with author’s cuisine.

Forest hotel next to a spring lake in Karelia. Here you can choose from several options at once: from real Indian tips to small houses with panoramic windows and covered terraces. Another place to relax in harmony with nature. The hotel is located among the rocks on the shore of Lake Vuoksa, in the heart of the Karelian Isthmus.
