Agree, one of the most difficult tasks in turbulent times is to find a good series in which you will forget about all the problems. Personally, we have a universal answer for such a situation in the editorial office. If you don’t know what to do with your head, immerse yourself in Turkish cinema. But if for some reason this option does not suit you, we have collected a selection of the best series to help you think about nothing.
“Desperate Housewives” (2004-2012)
In the center of the plot are four housewife friends from a prestigious area. The satirical series about what ideal families hide in a quiet suburb immediately appealed to the audience and successfully aired for eight years.
“Sex and the City” (1998-2004)
We humbly learned how the story of Carrie and the man of her dreams ended. And last year the continuation of the series came. That’s right, without a few main characters, including our favorite Samantha anyway. So if you prefer classics like us, we recommend watching the original series.
Friends (1994-2004)
The series was released in 1994, but we watched it already in the 2000s. 236 episodes follow the lives of six friends. They’re constantly going to work, falling in love, getting married, and constantly getting into funny situations. “Friends”, which can be cited endlessly, won many awards: “Golden Globe”, “Emmy” and others.
“The Clinic” (2001-2010)
Even before the House era, we’ve all watched The Clinic, a series with the main characters, doctors JD, Turk, Perry Cox, and others, with very few medical terms and lots of funny stories.
“How I Met Your Mother” (2005-2014)
“Legen… wait, wait… dammit!” One of the best and most touching sitcoms of our time follows the romance of Ted as he tries to find the girl of his dreams with the help of his friends. What about Neil Patrick Harris…
“The Office” (2005 – 2013)
Bored with idleness, the officers try to get along with the crazy boss. A virtuoso sitcom about workdays starring Steve Carell.
The Magnificent Miss Maisel (2017 – present)
Three-time Golden Globe winner (including best TV series)! The events unfold in New York in 1958, about an exemplary housewife who discovers her talent for stand-up. Meanwhile, the pilot episode of the project turned out to be one of the most successful episodes in Amazon Video history.
“Sex Education” (2019 – present)
This is the story of Otis, a shy virgin who lives with her mother, a sexologist (played by 50-year-old X-Files star Gillian Anderson, by the way). One day, her classmate Maeve suggests that Otis open an underground sex therapy club to help her peers in various awkward situations. And on his mother’s advice, he begins to overhear… one of Netflix’s most popular projects!
Bridgertons (2020 – present)
You can’t just watch the Bridgertons and shop at Rege-Jean Page. The tale of eight interconnected brothers and sisters as they try to find love in the impressive Bridgerton family.
Emily in Paris (2020 – present)
This is the story of an American woman (Lily Collins) who is given the opportunity to travel to Paris to explore the local advertising market. But in the excursion program there is not only work, but also new acquaintances.
Foreign Banks (2020 – present)
The adventure drama follows four friends who find a map depicting a large shipment of gold. The company begins a dangerous and exciting journey.
“Unprincipled” (2020 – present)
A comedy based on the stories of Pavel Derevyanko, Oksana Akinshina, Pavel Tabakov, Aglaya Tarasova and Alexander Tsypkin! “Unprincipled” are short stories about lovers and spouses, colleagues and rivals, friends and casual acquaintances. They’re all residents of the Patriarch’s Pond. The premiere took place on October 15 at KinoPoisk HD.
