Juanjo Ortiz (Madrid, 1965) is a historian and popularizer. His interest in World War II dates back to when he was a teenager, and this passion — and a certain quirkiness — led him to found the blog EL CAJÓN DE GRISOM in 2011; a reference in the World War II reveal where the small stories in the biggest conflict of the 20th century are included. In 2020 he started the podcast adventure with LA TRINCHERA.

In 2016, he edited the now defunct magazine specializing in World War II WW2 Global Project Magazine and contributed to the edition of the 1st ESO textbook Are we what we consume? from Brazilian publisher Base Editorial.

He is currently collaborating with the magazine very history as well as with the Andalusian radio program Onda Local Istopia Historia, various YouTube channels for historical dissemination and with other bloggers.

He is also a member of the Divulgadores de la Historia association.
