Controversy erupted over whether Coles’ buyer had bought shares of the heavily devalued butter shop.

An Australian mom was criticized by shoppers after she bought every single piece of butter at a discount at the supermarket.

Coles’ customer found a 500g pack of butter for just $1.88 at a $7.50 discount at his local Central Coast store and bought the lot.

He shared his discovery with popular Facebook group Markdown drug addicts, while Australian members shared with some affected by the deal, while others said he should leave some for others.

A passionate baker who uses a lot of butter, she later received more than 1,100 “likes” and sparked a heated discussion with dozens of replies.

The post was flooded with comments from disgruntled shoppers who said they would “drop some” for others.

“I would leave a few because there are a lot of people going through a tough time, good find,” one joked.

“In these difficult times and with so many people struggling, I would leave something for someone else. But it’s just me, ”said another.

“I left ALL the meat. Boards and boards. I cook a LOT, so butter is great for me,” she said.

Group moderators had to remove some annoying replies and eventually banned members from making further comments.

However, not everyone was unhappy with the capture of the Lake Haven woman’s oil, with many coming to his defense and praising his “outstanding score”.

“I’d buy them all, I like to haggle and it’s an everyday thing in my house, so I bet I’d buy them all if I saw them!” said one mother.

“I would definitely buy them all. I make pies every weekend and butter is expensive,” he said.

“Finding price cuts comes ‘in the right place, at the right time’. Products are discounted for quick sale. If you buy them all, to keep for yourself or to share with family / friends, this does not need to be justified,” writes a third party.

A supermarket worker also stepped in and applauded him for buying all his butter.

“We hate throwing products away, so buy them if you see them! Whatever you buy (unless there is a limit for whatever reason), get it all! Right place, right time.”

This isn’t the first time a shopper has been labeled “greedy” for “swallowing” discounted foods.

With inflation raising the cost of living, more and more customers are looking for “income” in supermarkets.

A Coles employee commented that the supermarket also regularly cuts meat, but it doesn’t last long in stores.

Some parents believe Sara should “share” her groceries with others rather than take it all herself.

When more people complained, Sarah responded by updating the headline: “For all the annoying people, the lady working was very nice to me, gave me good discounts, I guess because I used etiquette and she was very nice”.

‘I don’t understand why all the negative comments, yes I do, it arouses envy. But I am not greedy, I have enough money left for others.

Sara claims that she and her husband only took what her family could afford, as they sold two cars to have enough money to make a down payment on their house.

Sara said she hasn’t seen a major reduction in meat since Covid struck Australia in 2020.
