Millions of viewers freeze in anticipation and are already counting down – in less than two months perhaps this year’s main series will be on the air. Pieces of huge cinematic universes that have long amassed an army of fans, both projects with impressive budgets – 12 days apart for the premieres of “House of the Dragon” (August 21) and “Rings of Power” (September 2), “Games” Preliminary episodes of “Thrones and The Lord of the Rings.” Their primary sources saw the world with a 10-year difference (“The Fellowship of the Ring” was released in 2001, the first episode of “Games” was released in 2011), and new projects are unlikely to avoid comparisons. “Dragon House”

According to Variety, a single episode of House of the Dragon cost HBO Max about $20 million. And given the number of episodes (ten), the entire project cost the company 200 million – 100 million more than the average cost of a season of Game of Thrones.
“Rings of Power”
